Autumn Civil Map events

Organisations supported in the Civil Map project visited the Open Spaces initiative in two virtual study tours. The latter is a network of physical community places operating throughout the country, which connects CSOs and local public activist initiatives - it currently has 7 members in Budapest, Szombathely, Pécs, Kecskemét, Szeged, Debrecen and Nyíregyháza. On the first occasion, in September, in addition to networking, cooperation between the Open Spaces and local governments was on the agenda - which was especially interesting because the participants in the conversation represented both pro-government and opposition-led cities. At the second event, the Open Spaces organisations virtually presented their centres and activities with the help of visuals, and the other topic was the networking experience of the Civil Map organisations. As the final Civil Map event, a joint meeting and ‘world café’ discussion with members of the Civilisation coalition took place at the end of October about the opportunities and obstacles of civic cooperation.
